Increase GP and Dentist provision across the county

Make sure it is COMPULSORY for all new build schemes to provide these services. We are struggling right across Dorset for both and with the amount of houses being built, it will only get worse.

Why the contribution is important

How do people stay healthy without acces to a GP and a Dentist?

I totally agree. Chickerell is a prime example of where services can no longer meet residents demand. There has been significant housing development over the past 10 years, but, to date, primary care services have actually declined when they should have increased. This makes life extremely difficult to people who are not internet savvy or who do not have access to their own transport. For some, this could mean two lengthy bus trips to see a GP in Wyke Regis. Increasingly residents are encouraged to contact GP through online services. For many this is not possible, as they do not have access to a computer.

GP and dental care ogether with schools are key, important part if infrastructure services. When all the new housing is full, these need to be planned alongside tge developments to meet current and future need.
