Pedestrian crossings along Horton road
1 pedestrian crossing on Horton Road by Waldorf and Sheiling schools and St Ives House care home.
1 pedestrian crossing on Horton Road by Moors Valley entrance
Why the contribution is important
Residents and tourists in the area are unable to access the community due to the busy road and speed of traffic. Families and residents have all voiced how they feel isolated and cut off and fear crossing the road due to the traffic and speed.
pedestrians crossings would allow people to access their community and prevent isolation. The schools and care home would be able to access outside their grounds with children and those that are vulnerable. Tourists and residents alike would also be able to access the forest and Moors Valley safely without having to put their lives at risk crossing such a dangerous road to the other side of the path.
