Protect our greenbelt, farms and National Landscape

Dorset Council should strongly reject the new government National Planning Policy Framework proposals for an uplift in the housing-land supply targets.

Why the contribution is important

If these flawed, metrocentric targets are forced upon us we lose all semblance of local planning policy and protections for our National Landscape land and our food security will be threatened through loss of farmland.  We need to prevent  urban sprawl and West Dorset from becoming a conurbation with huge private, free-market housing estates that our local people cannot afford.

When allowing planning permissions more open spaces more tress and restrictions on brick paving and paving for residents to ensure open live green spaces. Also commitment to maintain green areas .

feel the empty properties in Dorchester need investigation before housing impacts green fields around Dorchester. We need to maintain green space parks in Dorchester as I worry planning could take them away. I notice so much unused land by railway from Dorchester South to Poole. Feel this space should be used for housing.
