Respond to the climate crisis: what this means
Protect our environment and combat global warming by ensuring that Dorset Council is on target to meet net zero by 2035 and Dorset by 2045.
We are proposing 3 key ideas for how we can respond to the climate crisis. They are:
- reduce Dorset’s impact on climate change
- support the recovery of nature
- help communities adapt for climate change impacts
Create an account
You need to register to be able to add an idea or comment.
Your username will be visible on the website when you add comments, so it should not contain personal information, such as your name. Username example: summerflowers
After you register, you’ll get an email from the Dialogue team to finish setting up your account.

Comment on an idea or add a new one
Once you have registered, you can:
- rate ideas using the star rating
- comment on existing ideas
- add your own idea
You can see all of the ideas below and order them by latest, highest rated or those with most comments. Ideas that we have added say ‘Dorset Council’ in the title and description.
Click on an idea to rate it or add comments.
If you have a new idea that isn’t already on the site, click 'Add Idea'. You’ll need to give your idea a title, description of what it is and why it’s important.
We check ideas and comments before they go live to make sure they meet our moderation policy. Anything that does not meet our policy will be removed.
